Decent sequel to origins

Considering how much time they had between origins and this ill give them credit for that. However,it is quite bland in comparison considering it's set in a city state and no an entire country.

I think most people who are into this series already know the story: Reused asssets, fetch quests and uncanny valley. The failed attempt to recapture Mass Effect's Shepard through Hawke. The stretched out plot and sloppy ending...The mad crunch that got it this way...it's old news. Some people are able to see past it to find fun in an otherwise mid/solid (albeit quirky) little game, others are not - it's that simple. On the plus, it brings some iconic characters to the series and that's also where it's strongest storytelling is - if you're into getting to know companions and running personal quests it's great. It's a bit of a bridge between Origins/Awakening and Inquisition - I think enough so to make it worth playing just for that. Objectively though...nothing you can't find on Wiki. It's overrated AND overhated by a really split fandom imo. Tbh, it's 'fine.' It's enjoyable enough but you won't miss much without it. Combat is mid. Dialogue is fun. Lore is...there....ish. 'Fine.'

Love this game

Though not without its faults as development was rushed, it's still one of my all time favourites and I highly recommended it to anyone looking for a great game.

Frustrating bug

Game will frequently lock up in a loading loop during conversations. Restarting the game temporarily fixes. Save very often.

Absolutely Amazing

Got this free with gold, and i was blown away. I was already a big fan of DA:I but this is so much better. Yes it isnt fully open world like DA:I but i do prefer completing quests in a familier environment rather than wandering aimlessly. And lastly.... MAGES ARE ACTUALLY DPS

Good game🎮, good story🎭, ace graphics🖼. 👌😃👍Thankyou Xbox gold for finally giving🎁 your customers some games worth playing and worthy of the xbox🏆 over the past few months🗓, because the quality 💩of the free games was deteriorating👎🤔✊ towards the point of Spectrum 🌈type games 🕹and graphics from the 80s👱♀️🍒🍒🎨forcing members👩👩👧👦👩👩👦👦👨👧👦 to consider and question if Gold🥇 or even Xbox was still worth it💰❓.

Lacks replayability

Decent game to play, however it lacks replaybility as you'll quickly discover that the game gives you illusion of choice. You get presented with decisions throughout the game however these have no impact on the plot, the protagonist Hawke is also rather bland. Dragon age origins and dragon age inquisition are far better games, this is by far the weakest entry in the series.

Brilliant sequel to my ATF RPG game.

Loved this game when it first came out and must of completed it about 6 times in order to go through all the different outcomes! Only thing stopping me from putting at a 5 star rating is that i had every DLC when i first brought it on 360 yet i cant get them on the xbox one with duel compatability.

good game overall , the fact my previously bought dlc on the 360 isnt available on backwards compatibility is annoying. EA or Microsoft need to sort this issue , was the same with the mass effect trilogy had dlc missing there as well.

Since its release, DAII has been Bioware's most divisive game, due in no small part to its short development and re-used assets in game. If you can look beyond that, however, you'll find it has a more visceral combat system than DA: Origins, another cast of typically well-rounded characters that Bioware do well, and a surprisingly atypical story that serves to set up DA: Inquisition pretty neatly (especially the 'Legacy' DLC). Personally, I loved it, but I understand it might not be for everyone.
