I enjoyed the game. I think that the combat is way better than in most modern games. It is a very hard game though... I had some troubles with using a bow and platforming, but the game still shines where it needs to. I think it's not just nostalgia.

Would be be better if option for easy mode

Ninja Gaiden was & will always be one of my favourite games ive probably put 100'ss of hours into the original games the black edition, when i picked this up i assumed it was a remaster but its more than that. Honestly, if you want the true NG1 experience i would buy NG Black, not to say this is bad but removing all the puzzle elements & replacing them with combat was totally unexpected and im not sure why they did it? Game is literally 95% combat now? Some of the platforming remains, but its not the same. Go play the OG games first then play this one & you'll understand. Still highly recommend this game tho if you like challenging, fast paced, melee based combat. Still holds up after almost 20 years!!!

Great game. Dated but still loving it. 4stars as could have worked on camera work for remake

Absolutely loved this game when it was originally released so super happy to see it on Game Pass all these years later. It plays really well on PC (with controller), great FPS and runs like melted butter. Only gripe is that the controls to exit the game don't seem to work, so I have to force close through windows and also the in game menus are not the same as I remember. The other annoying point was I could not seem to access the aim mode with the bow, so I've knocked one star off for that - but overall, this is mega, love it

Basically a great old game brought upto date console. Those looking to play a ninja slaying things then this is your cup of tea .
