Yes even on a 50" TV your character sprite is 0.5 cm. So its hard to fathom where you are at the best of times. When you're being mobbed you just disapear completely and you must rely on your weapon fire to orientate. The graphics are akin to the Amstrad cpc or Commador 64. Yet if you can see past the archaic visuals it is actually a good time, especially with a friend.

this game is a rogue-like. theres no minimap stun-lock is utilised a lot. there is no item-card as you play to give any sta notif's. theres no permanent double jump. theres a lack of fun and and good amount's of frustration. you've countdown timer's on the lower screen, instead of a bar.no one wants to see countdown timer's.make it colourful and exciting. access to 1 char at the beginning and its awful, no choice there whatsoever till you've died endlessly trying or never get because the game tell's you nothing to aim for. dash distance is pointless even if immune. swarm by overpowered enemies and you know you'll die, so just quit there.DO NOT PASS GO,GO BACK AND FAIL MORE.we want you to enjoy this game. you've a piddly character and a pixel gun that goes putt-putt and there 14 enemies and a boss 80times bigger just steamrolls you and i'm on easy. the currency is pitiful. genuinely struggling to enjoy this game. where's the fun gone from gaming, who took it.

Great, however when you unlock characters they wont stay unlocked when you close then reopen the game. Series X

I purchased this game with high hopes after being addictid to risk of rain 2. Then after playing i realised i no longer wanted to keep living.

This game is addictive and fun to play alone or with friends, its a hard game at frist but slowly slowly it becomes a game that'll never let you down. Each paly through is different and unique, the characters are amazing and are found by exploring the maps you play in, this maybe older then Risk of Rain 2 but t is by fair the best out of the two. The music in this game is fantastic! each level has its own amazing music track making it truly feel like a place that you are new to and as the difficulty rises the longer you play your run, the more hecktic and fun it gets. if you haven't, try out this game because alot of people just skip and go straight to RoR2 and never get the full story because they think this is a bad game because its 2D.

RoR2, but worse+2D

Of course its worse than RoR2 since it came before. Regardless it is very janky. The camera is so zoomed out it is hard to track your character. Can be appreciated in seeing how it developed.

The Sum Is Greater Than Its Parts

The graphics look like placeholders and the gameplay is unpolished but it still feels good to play and somehow it all works. If you've played Risk Of Rain 2 then this earlier primitive version might have something for you. It's also a decent choice for anyone looking for something that feels truly retro because there's an undeniable Amiga vibe to the whole thing.

Ridiculously Addictive!

I just saw some trailers and was like, you know what i will buy both games and started playing the first game and holy hell im hooked. You start off with one character. And then it throws you into a game, then. After 5 minutes, it gets way more difficult and you use your money to buy powerups, which stick with you This game is awesome Download it now!
