Not a true RTS

I'm guessing the 5 star reviewers only experience with rts games is halo wars 🤷♂️ This is an extremely simplified barebones squad based rts, lacking any real diversity in units and buildings. If you've played a pc rts, or even the old c&c games/warzone on the playstation, you'll feel very shortchanged buying at rrp. It's a decent baby rts for those with little rts experience though. Get on sale, if possible. **Each faction has 2 or 3 melee units, 1 horse and a couple of ranged. It's rock paper scissors based strengths and weakness v enemy units. 10 units max per side, pre placement of buildings, and only a few of those too.

A brilliant game

A very good game set in a time ignored by most but arguably some of the most important years for europe in that time. Not many strategy games like this on xbox however this has been adapted for xbox very well, controls are easy to follow and the gameplay is fun, the story was very entertaing and the skirmish mode is a blast. Would recommend.

Amazing! Must buy!!!

Excellent game! Im a big lover of RTS games but can never find one on xbox that is ACTUALLY GOOD. I totally recomend this game to anyone that is searching for a good RTS. My only complaint is the controls at first are a bit difficult to get used to but it didnt take me too long to get used to em. Also the tutorial is a tad bit long but i dont mind it.

Love this game

This game is amazing... Im a big fan of the total war franchise and I feel thats why I was attracted to this game. After completing 3 of the campaigns and playing a few matches of PvP I think that its a fantastic game with lots of fun strategy involved. Furthermore the realtime battles with the close camera realy bring the game to life. I would 100% recommend this game to fans of RTS games

Fantastic RTS best console rts since LOTR BFME2

Campaign is great and teaches you the dynamics of the game well. Once I knew the basics i went on to pvp. Pvp is awesome, such a fun and tactical experience, good overall map design and well balanced armies to choose from. Servers are now pretty stable now. This is possibly the best console rts I have ever played, so tactical, so beautiful and so fun. My only criticism is the inability to set up private games between friends and ai. The developers are considering this option, although it should be standard. If you love real time strategy and epic battles that can last for easily over a frantic fun filled hour then get this game, it's fantastic!😍

Finally a true RTS comes to Xbox One!

Would massively reccomend to anyone who enjoyed TLOTR: The Battle for Middle-Earth II on Xbox 360. Unfortunately the majority of RTS developers out there can't be bothered to port their titles to consoles so huge thanks to Destructive Creations for putting in the effort and not excluding us!

Needs a bit polish that in time will come

Give this game time, it is really good. Single player needs a little polish and multiplayer needs better servers as they sometimes crash. Just give it time and they will sort out the issues. We need RTS games for consoles so i hope this is successful so developers realise that.

About bloody time

Well it's happened..... We finally have a good RTS and it's been a long time coming!!! No it's not Rome total war buts it's a start. I've enjoyed every minute so far 👍 only small gripe is with some of the American voice overs but other than that no problems although i haven't tried the multiplayer but then who buys an RTS for that!! 😉

Connection issues

Cool game, looks good and has a nice theme but the only times ive won is because my opponent disconnected, the only time ive lost is because ive disconnected. Idk if there is any EU servers if not you should get to work on it or if its just me with my bad connection ether way ive already enjoyed myself with it.
