5 stars for this makes Streets of Rage 1 million stars by comparison, its yet another cheap game on xbox that is bang average but has a decent potential underneath. Pixel art was maybe a bad choice because when action ramps up its like someone puked a rainbow on screen and stirred it with chopsticks. It just isnt great for a game that also has some ridiculous long frame eating wind up animation for power moves, great in 1v1s like tekken but when fighting five million pixels all with overblown animations and screen eating effects it becomes hard for anyone who isnt a 2020 vision ninja to work out if delay is due to input lag, overly long animations or frame rate drop. But before that, you need to work out which explosion, flame fist etc is where your character is underneath. Its enjoyable only in bursts and with a backlog of 100 games i simply cba to work out how to "git gud" at a game that gives me eye strain and also grammar and spelling errors when literally every pc has spellcheck?
