It happened....my 13 year old disc finally failed on me so a digital replacement (and a review because I now 'own' the game) it had to be. Loads of levels (even more with the cheap DLC's) with story and time trial missions, characters and items to unlock, global leaderboards, hundreds of items to hunt down, challenging difficulty (the 100pts score for each level is no gimme), an awesome soundtrack and highly addictive gameplay. My only minor niggle is that the camera can sometimes go a bit wonky in tight spaces. But, you know, even though I've now lost my progress 4 times (one of those was my original memory card save) and long since gotten 1000g I had no problems starting from scratch on each occasion....it really is that good. So yeah, do yourself a favour and skip those overpriced 'reroll' reboots because for a mere £15 you can get the vastly superior version of XBox Katamari and live happily ever after.

Roll your sticky ball to pick up various objects, to make a bigger ball to roll up bigger objects, until you start swallowing up people, vehicals, buildings, sky scrapers, mountains, islands, countries, planets and stars! Beautiful Katamari improves on the previous games in many ways, and is by far the best of the series with the best soundtrack, best controls, best visuals and best stages. I highly recommend it over Katamari Damacy Reroll!
