Three ok routes, new trains, a guard mode that's a bit like an Xmas jumper (wear it once to please your grandma then never wear it again) and...erm...some other stuff that's probably a figment of my imagination but I'll say it anyway to flesh out the 'new and exciting' section. Good news! To ensure a smooth transition into TSW5, DTG have thoughtfully done absolutely nothing to improve poor lighting, framerates, stutters and pop-ins. A masterstroke idea...you'll feel like 4&5 are the exact same game in next to no time. There's more. Hover cars and wayward passengers are ever-present in TSW5 but to integrate these as WCML features, Rivet Games have been summoned. Cars still hover like it's 2054 and passengers still wander aimlessly, but when they do stray onto the tracks they'll be safe in the knowledge that, thanks to Rivet's 'special' skills, they won't get run over due to inbound trains being stranded somewhere south of Watford with their doors stuck open. No matter how many times they make new simulator's they always forget a key part of the simulation real life simulator should simulate what real life looks like you've all been working on the mechanics for the game going on years now maybe it's time to get a grip on you're texture packs and overall up to date graphics because this ain't it this was cool 20 year's ago it's not anymore.

Routes are ok. Conductor (guard) mode is good, but the big let down is the price. £40 for standard is decent considering you get 3 routes. £60 for deluxe is really pushing it. And £105 for special?! This is a train game not EA FC! And most content included in special edition isn't even new! Buy the game if you want, everyone's opinion is different, but be warned of D Dovetail's prices

Wait 6 months and get the deluxe or special edition for £10. They might have fixed the bugs and random crashes by then. Spoiler: They won't fix anything.
