Some good life lessons to be learned up until the main character puts on his suit. Enemies block so learn the Komaki parry.

Start with Yakuza 0, then kiwami 1 and 2, this is easily one of the best franchises created, the story is top tier and the combat is really fun, there's a ton of content to invest yourself in.

Combat isnt as good as other games but story, acting, relationships and writing makes up for that , yakuza 3 is great ๐ Below par graphics does not mean the game is bad , its a great game and would have been an incredible kiwami 3 if they re made it ๐

Great beat em up when your actually able to start fighting, wish it didn't turn into a daddy daycare centre tho.

Certainly the most janky Yakuza, with the most frustrating combat and a rather weak story. However, great substories, the interesting new Okinawa area and fun minigames mean the overall product is very strong. Also has some of the series' best characters (e.g. Rikiya and Mine).

Good but could've used the kiwami treatment

First off the story Is some of the best in the series when it gets going secondly the combat hasn't aged the best sadly and the okinawa parts can get very boring. great game just could've used the kiwami treatment and also 4 is much better compared to this and yakuza 4 is also a decent starting point

If you're looking for a fun Yakuza game to play, I would recommend any other but this one. This game is awful and definitely the worst in the series. If you want to play all the Yakuza games, go for it, I did the same and can honestly say I should have skipped this one. Janky fighting and a weak story... Surely the minigames could make up for it right?! Nah, weakest out of the bunch. The smell of 2009 is strong with Yakuza 3. If you feel obligated to play it, then rush through it as quickly as possible. If you're going for the 100% then prepare to hate your existence. This game made me wish I never picked up Yakuza :) Congrats
