Fun quirky unusual silliness

The theme tune is stuck in me head. This bizarre little game keeps pulling me back to try getting bigger balls. It's different, it's silly, it's just a fun game. Keep rollin', rollin', rollin'.

The most exciting ****** game of all time

Don't listen to stupid reviews criticizing this game. It's worth playing (a bit overpriced though). Controls are not that hard, but quite challenging. The whole game is amazing: soundtrack, visuals, psychedelic plot, gameplay etc. It's amazing! (especially the soundtrack)

One the stupidest "games" to have ever graced my Xbox. I can not put into words how much i recommend that you DON'T install this onto your hard drive your Xbox will thank you for it. It's a diabolical "game"

Great fun and a little bit quirky

The controls are fine, they're just a bit tanky when you want to re-position your character on the ball. The stuff you can roll over is hilarious.

Worth A Gamepass Roll.

If you enjoyed the previous game then you`ll maybe enjoy this. However, the game is very short and the controls can mess with you which is something i dont remember was as much of an issue. A bit overpriced for the content, one star for that but as part of GP its worth a spin.

This is a love it or hate it game! Can be frustrating trying to find and collect all items but so satisfying when you do! 😃 Just need them to re-release Beautiful Katamari and I'll be happy 😎

Slow Starter

If you can get past the bizarre control scheme (simpler controls available after tutorial) there's a quirky little gem of a game here. Personally gave up on it at first, but the laid back fun pulled me in. A bit short, but if you're looking for something to relax with, and maybe have a chuckle or two, it's well worth sticking with it.

PS2 Classic Brought Back

I enjoyed every second this great and quirky game. The soundtrack is a new favorite of mine, also the timeless aesthetics hold up today. I see people leaving reviews for this having not completed the tutorial, I'd argue that is incredibly unfair of them, to not judge the game by any other merits, I'd pin it down as people not being to kill things for 5 seconds, to enjoy a charming and thoughtful experience. I had no issues with control once I made it past level 1, and unlike most of the children here, found one of my new favourite games. If you're reading this about to make a harsh review, I'd urge you to stick with this cult-classic, to get a unique experience not offered anywhere today. Thanks for reading!

Lazy Update

Beautiful Katamari was one of my favourite games on the 360 so I was hyped when I saw a Damacy remaster land on Game Pass. In truth, the game hasn't aged well. The best remasters address all the issues that we put up with back in the day, not just the graphics, but this update falls down on that score. The controls and camera are poor by today's standards and should have been improved. If you can push through the early frustrations you'll find an enjoyable game. It's definitely a missed opportunity though.

The game is from 2004, the whole point of the controls being janky is because thats the gameplay style its like saying getting over it is a bad game because of the controls, if my stoned *** can play this easily then it really shows how awful most of you are at basic stick movements

Why are younger people hating on this game? It is a remake of a game that had not a lot of buttons at the time so the controls are just reflecting that of the old game

Superb, great to see a Katamari game remastered!!

Somehow I missed this until it appearred on Game Pass. I can understand peoples frustration with the controls, I had the same issue with Beautiful Katamari and almost gave up but, I'm glad I persevered and got used to the controls. It's a brilliant game once you have adapted to the controls, unique concept, alot of fun and quirky, entertaining narrative plus, great soundtrack.
