This game gave my first 360 the RROD within 2 days, along with Gears Of War - overrated game with broken controls (melee on a button, not R3, and run & cover was the same button! BS final boss) - Hexic was more fun! Hexic came free with the first 360s, pre-installed on the HDD, but all the original 360s overheated and died (shown by the RROD around the power button). I got a 360 Elite a year later, which I only switched from to the XSX a year ago - it still works like new (born 2007? Imagine a PC that old still working, at all! 💻💩). I didn't dare play Hexic again - I didn't have it installed on the Elite, but I just hit 'Download Again' (1st Dec '23) and it's back on my 360! I miss CD-ripping playlists - but, I forgot how loud the 360 was when I tried Forza Motorsport 4 the other day (best FM - at least 25x the content of the terrible FM 2023!). Minesweeper is definitively the greatest game of all time (fight me), but this is brilliant too. The concept, like all great puzzlers, is a very simple one that opens itself up to added layers of complexity (figuring out how to "star walk" will make you feel god-like), and none of the different game modes feel tacked on. Music in this is brilliant, the colours are bold, and - as a certain Grey stickman once said - hexagons are the bestagons. (...but Minesweeper's better)

The music on timed mode scared me, the beeping made it worse and it reminded me of a fever dream. Terrifying.
